I was sick of
sleep-late-and-do-nothing Saturdays, so I decided not to sleep in and get up and
drive up to the mountains and hike a little bit and just see something
different. It was the perfect weather for it... Partly cloudy and about 70
with a good breeze. There was a slight chance of showers, but I decided to
give it a whirl anyhow. I left around 1 after grabbing a Subway 'samich
and fillup the car up with petrol. I left straight from the dorms and
decided to go check out Anna Ruby Falls. My Dad had taken me there as a 'lil
tyke so I wanted to see how much I remembered. Plus you cant go wrong with
waterfalls. It took me about an hour and 15 minutes... 45 minutes
less than Mapquest told me... So, I was happy. I did the very short hike
up to the falls and took the sights in, snapped a few pics, and hiked back.
It was about 4p at this point so I decided to detour on my way home and stop in
and see my Dad at his place since it was sorta nearby. I hung out there
and had dinner with my Dad and step mom Carolyn, then left there around 7ish.
I stopped by the Lawrenceville house to get mail and such, and GaTech Brian
invited me over for some drinking. I was game and headed back to the GSU
dorms to change and whatnot. I finally got over to his dorms and started
pounding some bev's... I can tell you that doing shots of vodka and chasing it
with Smirnoff Ice will get you hammered fast. We all had a good time and
Brian's and by around 4am people started headin out... rounding out what was a
great, and quite eventful Saturday.
